Orientation electrical steel, also known as cold-rolled oriented silicon steel, is a cold-rolled electrical steel containing 2.9% to 3.5% Si, and the crystal organization of the steel plate has a certain pattern and direction. Grain Oriented Electrical Steel is an indispensable soft magnetic material for the electric power industry, mainly used in transformers, rectifiers, reactors and large motors and other industries.
Cold-rolled oriented silicon steel plate crystal organization has a certain pattern and direction of cold-rolled electrical steel. The carbon content does not exceed 0.08% and may contain no more than 1.0% aluminum, the proportion of other elements contained does not give it the characteristics of other alloy steels; the thickness does not exceed 0.56 mm; in coil form, it may be of any width; in plate form, its width is at least ten times the thickness. Generally refers to mono-orientated silicon steel sheets having a Gaussian weave, i.e. (110) silicon steel with the crystalline plane parallel to the rolling plane and [001] the crystalline direction parallel to the rolling direction.
